Video Spirit Pro is a novel tool that combines the functions of a video converter and a video editor.

On the one hand, the program allows you to convert video files from and into many popular formats, including DVD. On the other hand, you can use its video editing capabilities to add slide effects and subtitles to your video files, or to join them together. All from the same environment.

The program's main window includes two tabs, one for the video edition and the other for the video conversion. This interface, however, is not very easy to use. Generally speaking, the program is not self-explanatory enough, and thus it takes a while to get used to it, especially if you are a novice user. If this is your case, I would highly recommend you to start reading the program's documentation and/or help files.

The video editor of this program behaves pretty differently from other video editors. Basically, this tool allows you to insert one or more videos, images, audio and subtitle files and combine them all together as you see fit. You can introduce many effects, such as slide effects, animated titles, mixed audio files, etc. This tool includes a built-in media player and a five-layer timeline for you to control each of the elements separately – video, audio, text, images, and recorded voice. Besides, you can fully configure the output settings of your resulting video file, both for the video and the audio, as well as the output format and quality level.

As for the conversion side of the program, it supports batch conversion, though you will need to add a task first and then specify if you want it to convert one or multiple files, as each option opens a different interface. Anyway, whether you use one method or the other, all the source files will end up on the same conversion list. That's why I consider this to be a useless step, which introduces unnecessary difficulty to the program's use. The good thing is that you can apply different output settings to each source video file on your list.

In short, even though VideoSpirit Pro offers a good set of powerful and sophisticated video editing and conversion functions, it introduces many unnecessary complications, which make it a bit hard to use.
